Hello, everyone! I hope the weather this weekend was as nice for you as it was for me! (Well, a little *too* nice; I stayed out too long, and now Miss Scarlett is the same color as her name...ouch!)
Some fun little tidbits for everyone: both anime Kickstarters that I posted about earlier got funded! So both the Escaflowne Director's Cut and Skip Beat! will be dubbed into English and provided on home video on DVD/BD combo packs. Sweet! The cast lists have been announced, and I'm pretty excited. I can't wait to watch the English versions! If any of you contributed to the Kickstarters, thanks for helping out!
Also on some video game related news, we got some good MegaTen news from Atlus--although not quite what most of us were hoping. But the spinoff/kind-of-sequel to Shin Megami Tensei IV, "Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final" will be released in North America this summer! This is awesome, although there's just so many games being released for me to keep up with right now that I know I won't get around to playing it for a while. (I haven't even finished playing SMT IV, so playing "Final" is definitely going to have to wait.) I'm still holding out hope that news on Persona 5 is right around the corner, since that's my most anticipated game of the year. (Well, I'm holding out hope that it's not getting delayed again...)
Not...a whole lot in doll news to report? I've seen some of the photos of the new Monster High dolls, and they look very Barbie/Disney like. The first dolls in this reboot will be a budget line, so they're very...basic. Very generic, and stripped of a lot of the freaky fabulousness that made them so appealing in the first place. I'll wait a bit longer to see what the next few lines look like before I'm going to stop buying the new ones, I'll give Mattel that much. The photos of Ever After High's Epic Winter aren't too promising, either. Birthday Ball should be hitting later this month, and Birthday Ball Duchess might end up being the only EAH doll I get this year. (It's all for the best, I suppose; I have to shunt *some* money over for all these Kickstarters and games and whatnot.)
Well, that's all for now! I might not be posting much for the rest of the month, since some relatives are visiting from out of town, so my time will be spoken for. (Worse comes to worse, I'll see you next month, readers!)
