Miss Scarlett Cooks! Oven Fried Ranch Pork Chops

It's dinner time, and Miss Scarlett's here with a quick and easy solution! Welcome to the Hobby Haven, everybody! I hope you brought your appetites, because today we're fryin' up some chops. These are great with a side of home fries, by the way.

The Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 1 cup of ranch dressing
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp all-purpose seasoning**
**If you don't have any all-purpose seasoning, you can make your own mix to keep on hand. Mix together 1 Tbsp of salt with 1 1/2 tsps of each of the following: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and dried thyme. Add one tsp red pepper, 3/4 tsp black pepper, 3/4 tsp dried oregano, 1/2 tsp ground up bay leaves, and 1/4 tsp chili powder.

The Tools:
  • An oven (as always)
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Freezer-size Ziploc bag
  • Metal baking pan
  • Mixing bowl

How to make it:
  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees WITH the baking pan inside it.
  2. Place the pork chops in the Ziploc bag. Sprinkle the seasoning on each pork chop, rubbing it in. Pour the ranch dressing inside the bag, zip closed, and then make sure each chop is completely coated in dressing. Place the bag in the fridge to marinate for 20 minutes.
  3. Put the bread crumbs and cheese in the mixing bowl and combine them together.
  4. After the chops have finished marinating, take them out of the bag and place them in the bowl of bread crumbs, Make sure they're coated on both sides.
  5. Take the pan out of the oven, and add the butter, allowing it to melt and cover the pan's surface.
  6. Place the chops in the pan, and then put the pan back into the oven. Bake for 15 minutes, than flip and bake for another 15 minutes, or until done.
